What does this mean? Results from scan. I was diagnosed with Stage iv MBC in Dec 2024 & started treatment Jan 2025. Am I done w/treatment?

"Your PET scan shows activity throughout the bones. There is no recurrence in the lung or any other organs. We had known sites of cancer in the spine and pelvis. I think overall everything is stable. I would stay the course on the Faslodex as well as the Ibrance and not make any changes right now. I think everything is stable".

Sounds like things are looking the same which means it's a favorable scan. Stable is always a good word to see on PET scan results.

This is actually encouraging news! Your doctor is saying that the cancer in your bones (spine and pelvis) hasn't gotten worse, and importantly, it hasn't spread to your lungs or other organs. "Stable" means the treatment is doing its job — keeping the cancer in check. To answer your question directly — no, stable does not mean treatment is over. With Stage IV MBC, treatment is typically ongoing and long-term. Think of it less like a finish line and more like a management plan. The goal is to:

- Reduce or stabilize tumors
- Prevent the cancer from spreading further
- Help you feel as well as possible with minimal side effects Your doctor is recommending you continue with your current medications because they appear to be working. You'll typically stay on a treatment until it stops working, and then your team will explore the next best option.

Stable is genuinely a good result, especially this early in treatment. Keep that in your corner! 💪

I would take as the Ibrance and Faslodex are working, so keep doing.
