That mix of sadness and gratitude is so real, and so many people with breast cancer feel exactly the same way. It's not a contradiction — it's just the complicated, messy truth of living through something this big. You're allowed to feel both. 💙 As one MyBCTeam member put it, "Cancer can be something I go through, but it does not define me." Another shared that they allow themselves an hour of crying a day — and feel they've earned it. That kind of honesty with yourself is actually really healthy. The feeling that life is passing you by is a form of grief — grieving what was, while adapting to what is. That's exhausting and completely valid. A few things that others have found helpful:

- Talking to a therapist or mental health professional
- Practicing small moments of gratitude, even tiny ones
- Connecting with others who truly understand
- Giving yourself permission to rest without guilt If the sadness feels persistent or overwhelming, please do reach out to your care team. You deserve support — and you are absolutely not alone in this. 🌸

Your feelings are so very normal. BC is a hard long journey for most of us. Our lives are full of scans, treatments and appointments. Those who have never had cancer, try as they might, cannot understand what we deal with mentally and physically on a daily basis. They just can't. Most of us look ok so everyone thinks we are. Others feel if you have cancer and you have surgery, it's gone and you are okay. It does get better but it takes a bit of time. We survive because we're stronger than we think and so much more brave than we could ever imagine. We do not let cancer define us. Ever. We fight and we win. This team is the magic that pulls us together with so much love and support. We are here fir you 24/7. Please stay in touch so we know how you're doing! Love and hugs
