Members responded warmly to the question about taking magnesium supplements for sleep, with many sharing positive experiences using magnesium glycinate or bisglycinate taken about 30 minutes before bed. Several members noted helpful combinations including tart cherry capsules, melatonin, and pineapple or banana as natural options, while one important tip shared was to avoid taking magnesium and calcium close together since they compete for absorption. A recurring theme was checking with your doctor before starting any supplement, especially for those on letrozole or other cancer treatments, as some oncologists have specific guidance on what to take.

I am taking magnesium glycinate. It helps to some extent, but I still wake up several times during the night. I wish there were something more effective available on the market. Has anyone had success with something that works better for staying asleep through the night?

Just make sure you are not taking magnesium and calcium close together, because they use the same transport pathways and have to compete for absorption in your gut if taken together... calcium often "wins" and blocks your body from fully absorbing the magnesium.

Magnesium glycinate.is known to help sleep along with melatonin and tart cherry capsules.
Clear all with your doctor.

If you are not sleeping, you need to do everything to help this issue.

Good morning πŸŒ…. I eat cherries πŸ’ all the time. I take a bowl and put πŸ’, πŸ‰, 🫐 and eat all 3 together. It's delicious and gives me energy and I sleep well at night. I'm in my 3rd year of taking Anastrozole and still no bad side effects. I'm so grateful to God Almighty. Hope you all have a bless day πŸ₯°πŸ™πŸ½βœοΈ.

I have a little battery operated fan beside my bed for any hot flashes. 🩷
