It's great that you're thinking ahead! Vaginal dryness is a common side effect of Tamoxifen, but there are plenty of non-hormonal options worth exploring.

It's great that you're thinking ahead! Vaginal dryness is a common side effect of Tamoxifen, but there are plenty of non-hormonal options worth exploring.

Here are some hormone-free approaches that MyBCTeam members and healthcare providers have found helpful:

- Vaginal lubricants (water-based or silicone-based) used during sexual activity
- Long-acting vaginal moisturizers like Replens for ongoing dryness
- Coconut oil or olive oil — as one MyBCTeam member shared, "Coconut oil helps with dryness, and it's safe"
- Vaginal dilators to help keep tissue pliable and lubricated
- Energy-based treatments like laser or radiofrequency therapy (e.g., MonaLisa Touch) — hormone-free with longer-lasting effects, though they can be pricier One important caution — always check with your oncologist before trying any supplements or complementary approaches, as some can interfere with Tamoxifen's effectiveness.

Your care team can help you find the right combination that works for your body and lifestyle. You've got options! 💛

Hyaluronic acid is the best!
You can get it in some KY jelly tubes that you apply or the KY inserts that you put in .
It's in a brand called Bonafide too which I think Target sells & also Amazon but that one is quite expensive

I don't have any noticeable dryness issues on a regular basis. The only dryness issues I have happen with sex, but lots of lube helps with that problem. I'm on the Letrozole AI and Ibrance CDK inhibitor and have had radical hysterectomy due to endometrial cancer along with radiation to my lower abdomen 4 times, once for the initial cancer and 3 more times due to recurrences.

No suggestions because nothing works. Except for the Mona Lisa Smile procedure but that’s expensive and involves a laser.
