@rosegardengirl you might like something I’ve been eating lately…cottage cheese with chopped up veggies. The thing that really adds flavor is I also add Kalamata olives and some salt & pepper. The cottage cheese gives you a lot of protein which we need to stay strong.

What foods should you avoid with ER-positive breast cancer?

Here are some foods you may want to limit or avoid with ER-positive breast cancer:

Citrus fruits - Grapefruit and tangerines can interfere with tamoxifen effectiveness. Large amounts of oranges or orange juice might also affect how well tamoxifen works. Talk to your oncologist about safe amounts.

Cow's milk - Whole milk and high-fat dairy products may contribute to breast cancer risk due to hormones and contaminants. Consider limiting cow's milk and trying fermented dairy like cheese or yogurt instead, which may lower breast cancer risk.

Certain supplements and herbs - These can interact with tamoxifen and other treatments:
- St. John's wort
- Ginger
- Turmeric
- Ginseng

Always speak with your healthcare team before starting any supplements.

Alcoholic beverages - Alcohol can raise estrogen levels, which ER-positive cancer cells use to grow. It may also make tamoxifen less effective and can damage DNA. Consider limiting or eliminating alcohol from your diet.

Your oncologist can help you create a personalized nutrition plan based on your specific treatment and overall health.

So many experts and so much research but what I have found is some say eat this not that and others say the opposite and others say anything in moderation. My team says eat and do what you want within reason. Minus grapefruit
