Ask at the center to make an appt with a financial person to help you find resources to help with financial challenges. If you have a nurse navigator, that may be a good place to start. Some places have social workers, our center has a financial advisor for patients. But by checking in with the nurse navigator- hopefully they can get you to the right people! Good luck! Hugs!

Yes, there are several programs and organizations that can help with financial assistance during your recovery from breast cancer surgery:

1. **Patient Advocate Foundation** - This nonprofit organization offers financial aid and services to individuals with serious chronic diseases, including breast cancer. They can help manage both direct and indirect costs of medical care.

2. **CancerCare’s Co-Payment Assistance Foundation** - They provide help with copayments for cancer care, which can alleviate some financial burdens while you're unable to work.

3. **American Cancer Society** - They offer resources to help with nonmedical expenses related to breast cancer treatment, such as transportation, lodging, and other daily expenses.

4. **Local Community Resources** - Check with the social workers at your treatment center. They often have information about local charities and programs that offer financial assistance to patients undergoing treatment.

These resources can provide some relief during your recovery period. It's also beneficial to start by discussing your needs with the social workers or financial counselors at the hospital or clinic where you are receiving treatment. They can guide you to the most relevant programs for your situation.
