Patty we were talking about this very thing the other day. Insurance companies won't pay for imaging for anything but stage IV and maybe stage 3. I am not sure. When I was originally diagnosed in 2012 I didn't have imaging either. Now stage IV I can't get away from it. Not that I am complaining. We were saying how many women would be spared recurrence if they even did imaging annually in those early stages.

Funny, I had HER Positive with lumpectomy and radiation afterwards. Now on Anazatrole since 2018. I have never had MRI or CT scan ever. I feel lumps on arms, legs and they have grown. They are painful but dr. said subcutaneous fat??? Anyone experienced this?

I would say, it depends on your treatment plan. How it was explained to me before I started everything, MRI before and after Chemo.

I had a breast MRI after my last chemo, ordered by my oncologist. Where I now work, a breast MRI is ordered by the surgeon before the last chemo. So for you, between treatment 5 & 6. This is done for surgical planning.
