The Gemcitabine is causing my red blood cells to breakdown. Doc says he's concerned I might be in early stage of HUS - Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome that causes red cell breakdown and kidney damage. Lots of blood tests are in my immediate future. Now I'm taking a break from chemo to see if my body can heal on its own.

I had 3 blood transfusions during 6 courses of A/C, and that was with Neupogen.

We will all pray for you. Have they found where your bleeding from and why?
