I'm single and 48. I haven't dated or even remotely interested at this point to tell anyone about my cancer or show them my chest. But I am very very happy!

My husband has been very supportive through this whole ordeal but it is taking its toll on us. I have not had a hysterectomy yet, I am about to start radiation in two weeks and just finished chemo. I will start reconstruction 4-6 months after radiation and will have hysterectomy then. I still have the desire and need to be intimate, even though I am very self conscience I don't want to give up in that area. I want to push past it and get over my self conscience feelings. Problem I have is my husband has seemed to lost his desire all together. I mean, I know he loves me and cares deeply for me. We have talked about it and he says he is afraid of hurting me. Last week we did for the first time since Jan when all this started. I don't think he was into it, a girl can kind of tell... I am not sure if he is just being over protective or has just lost his desire for me because I have no breast and he doesn't know how to deal with that adjustment... not to mention being bald and barely any eyelashes and weight gain doesn't help make me feel attractive. It hurts me deeply but I don't want to put pressure on him because I know our husbands have to go through the changes with us and this affects them too. I just keep praying we can find our way back to having romance and desire again. For now, I will settle with the cuddling and kisses.

of everything else!? No thanks. I've been married 29 years. But this is unchartered territory and I don't know how to fix it. 😞

My hubby and I were intimate within 2 weeks post BMX - we agreed that it was a BMX, not a hysterectomy, and we both needed the intimacy. I chose to stay flat and have no problems baring my chest to anyone. My hubby supported my decision from the get go, which made the whole ordeal so much easier. Tamoxifen has taken its toll on my libido though.
