Darlene, my husband didn't handle my BC very well and it hurt. I'm so sorry you're dealing with this and my heart goes out to you. Give it time. It may or may not change but you are enough just the way you are. Seriously you are. Maybe he's scared for you or he really doesn't understand anything about BC. It doesn't excuse his attitude or actions. If you have a nurse navigator, please talk to her about your situation because she can help you and your family understand the BC
And the BC journey. I am praying you will have his love and support. We love you and we care so much about you. Please stay in touch so we know how you're doing. Much love and endless hugs.

Well... will be very honest here. We are a 25 yr couple, 2nd time around... blended family. Being MBCa on Dx w High Mammaprint was pretty scarry... n he didnt handle it well, as he cant fix it. Had Gangrene after Mastectomy, had 4 surgeries in 12 months. Skin Grating & Reduction isn't any where near as hoped and not attractive. I feel so uncomfortable unless I am in my bra, fully covered up. He's upset because the reduction I wanted, has caused more troubles then leaving a healthy breast alone = nipple reattachments are not normal nipples. Think our emotional exhaustion has alot to do with the lack of physical intimacy, moreso than my scars.
