I started Arimadex a week ago, now I have a nagging cough, sore throat, fevers...has this happened to anyone else?
I thought a cough could be a side effect. After I started Generic Arimidex I developed a cough, followed by a fever and cold symptoms. The cough took a month or more to go away but eventually did.
I swore Arimidex caused me to cough and have a sore throat. My doctor said "impossible".
Well I've been off aromasin for 8 days and thought th h ed cough was subsiding but ladt two days it has returned. Not as severe but not mild either and lungs feel inflamed again. Dr said to wait till done with chemo and then take clariten to see if this cough is due to an allergy. If it wasnt for this cough and terrible feeling of irritation in my lungs the rest of side effects are tolerable.
I am taking aromasin and have developed an awful cough. My lungs felt inflamed and hot. My oncologist said it would be very rare for this drug to cause a cough, but after being treated with antibiotics and now an inhaler and oral cough suppressants, with not help, I am stopping the aromasin for two weeks to see if my cough clears up. I'm on my second day of not taking it and already the cough is noticeably better and my lungs don't feel so inflamed. Only time will tell if this improvement is real. Otherwise I am scared to death the cancer went into my lungs, although a chest exray was taken and was OK. Has anyone else had this? I'm on my 21 day of radiation, and I did not have chemo. The radiation dr said the radiation is not causeing this cough, although a small portion of my lung is being radiated. Sorry this is not coming out smoothly, but I am upset and worried about this awful respiratory thing.
