My experience started with hot flashes and hair thinning. The first three years were not too bad, more and more joint pain, fourth year was terrible for me, a lot of joint, muscle, bone pain. I began feeling like a 90 year old person. My bone density test showed a difference I did not like. I just stopped taking it after over 4 years. I am praying the side affects from it will go away after I have been off of it for a while. I hope you will be more like these other ladies who aren't experiencing any side affects. Everyone is different. Good luck to you.

I've been on it for seventeen months. Did have joint pain, but I go for a long walk every day, now I'm pain free.

I started Arimidex (generic) a month ago. So far I haven't had anything more than a little soreness in my knees and thumb. I also have arthritis, so it isn't anything that I haven't already experienced. It just takes me a little longer to get around in the morning. I am hoping that this is all I have to endure for the next five years.

Have only been on it for just over a month, so far so good. But I'm a newbie!
