Flax seeds are consistently on both lists! For creating estrogen in body, and inhibiting estrogen in body. Anyone know what's up with that?

I read that women's bodies do not process or metabolize plant estrogens in a harmful manner. Women in Asian countries eat soy almost daily and gave a much lower incidence of BC than western countries. Our country pushes oral hormones in girls from the time they become adolescents and they stay on them twenty years then wonder why there is such a rash of BC in the last 50 years in our country.

You also may want to check out Think Pink Live Green . It has a list of fruits and vegatables you should by organic , and other ways to reduce BC risk.

Go to Johns Hopkins website - Nutrition for Breast
Cancer Patients and Survivors guidelines for healthy eating. It says flax seed is good. I trust Johns Hopkins. Also, read The Whole Foods Guide for Breast Cancer Survivors.

I also heard do not consume soy. What I think is very important is eat mostly fruits and vegetables and make sure you look at an alkaline food chart. This will prohibit any production of cancer cells because cancer cells can not live in an alkaline cellular environment.

Check out...www.foodforbreastcancer.com. They have foods that inhibit the effectiveness of treatments & foods that enhance the effectiveness of treatments all gathered from years of actual human studies. I love that site! It is Updated Everyday!!

Regarding Flax: I understand that the flax seed is estrogenic & the flax seed oil metabolized estrogen.
