Yes, that is extremely important to never stop using lotion on the breast that had radiation therapy.
That breast may be drier after radiation.

I stopped using it for a short while and got mastitis. I do not know if there is a correlation with that.

My Breast Surgeon said to always use lotion. 💜💜💜💜💜

Good morning 🌅 Yooly. I hope it's not radiation fibrosis. I agree with virginiavalley and Sue10. I would contact your radiologist right away. Wear comfortable clothes. Choose soft, loose wire free bras or go braless to reduce friction and pressure on sensitive areas. Also ask your doctor about over-the-counter pain relievers. Hope this helps you. It sounds like your breast swelling may be related to breast lymphedema which might give you a hard and uncomfortable breast.

Call the radiation oncologist office CB on Monday and ask to talk to the nurse about this or ask the receptionist directly if they can fit you in for an appointment.

The hard and uncomfortable breast might be from the radiation too.

Ask if you can come in and be checked out.

Do not worry. You will get through this.

Yooly, I did not do radiation, but it would seem that contacting the radiologist is the way to go, besides being in pain, you're scared- speaking with them may help you get relief and peace of mind. I hope you reach out to them early tomorrow! Please let us know how it goes! Gentle hugs!
