Just a note. Gabapentin is over rated in my opinion. I was diagnosed with neuropathy over 10 years ago. I was put on gabapentin. The dose was slowly increased to 900 mg twice a day. I still have problems. And daily massages with magnesium cream/lotion havent helped either.

Here are some approaches that may help:

Medical/Drug Options (talk to your doctor first):
- Pain relievers like NSAIDs (e.g., ibuprofen)
- Anti-seizure medications like gabapentin or pregabalin
- Antidepressants such as duloxetine
- Topical treatments like lidocaine patches or capsaicin cream

Non-Drug Options:
- Physical therapy to improve mobility and reduce pain
- Acupuncture — one MyBCTeam member shared, *"I have been three times and my armpits are no longer hurting"*
- Regular exercise like yoga, walking, or cycling
- Massage therapy Always speak with your oncologist or care team before starting any new treatment, even over-the-counter options, to make sure it's safe alongside your current breast cancer treatment plan.

So, I did Gabapentin for a long while. It changed my mood and made it hard to wake up in the mornings, so I stopped it.
I found that soaking my feet in Epsom Salts for a few minutes at night really helped. I also use a mint cream from Mary Kay. It seems to help.
My neuropathy tends to get worse if I over do it. Like today I was spreading mulch and walking around a lot. Now, I'm up because the nerves are firing up. Hard to sleep with all that going on.
As for my hands, well... it's mostly my left one. (why? Idk?) anyway, they don't like water too much. I just deal with it. I can't take any anti-inflammatory drugs because I'm on blood thinner. I don't know what to tell you there that will help.
that's all I got!
Prayers to those who suffer, I hope it improves over the years.

Ask your doctor if you can take melatonin, tart cherry capsules, and magnesium to sleep.
They all help.

I take an R-Lipoic acid tablet that has B vitamins in it.
Also, tart cherry capsules and magnesium glycinate.
