Or is there a fenced dog park where you could take him- that way you could walk a bit inside the enclosure, then sit and let him chase a ball or whatever! Hugs!

Doris until you feel like walking could you get a dog walker or neighborhood kid to walk the dog so he feels better until you can take him?
