Members warmly reassured someone feeling guilty about craving ice cream, with the overwhelming consensus being that occasional treats are not only acceptable but necessary for mental well-being and quality of life. Several members shared practical strategies for balance, including designating one day per week as a cheat day to enjoy favorite foods guilt-free, while others emphasized pairing indulgences with regular exercise and mindful moderation rather than complete restriction. A recurring theme was the importance of self-compassion and permission to enjoy life's pleasures without fear.

Friday night is our cheat night. My husband and I went to dinner and had appetizers, cocktails, dinner and then went and picked up Gelato (Salted Carmel Truffle). We behave all week so Friday or Saturday we eat what we want. Enjoy!!!

Pick a day of the week and eat anything you like. It makes being good the other 6 days so much easier!! Love and hugs!!!

Nothing wrong with ice cream! Last fall when I had radiation to my chest, neck, and armpit the radiation burned the inside of my throat and the only things that soothed the burn were ice cream, popsicles, jello, and pudding.
