Just wishing you the very best. You have been through a lot but you still have a great attitude. I take letrozole so I understand totally what you are dealing with now. The joint pains and hot flashes are the worse. It does usually get better for some of us. Stay in touch. Love and hugs!

I was on Letrozole for 9 years. No noticeable side effects after a few months to get adjusted to it. I was more anxious about a cancer recurrence than taking a pill. I’m 11 years out now. Don’t let fear of “what ifs” drive your decision. Try it and see for yourself. If it’s problematic then stop and try something different or quit. I’ve never heard of anyone dying from taking an AI. I think they have to tell you all the potential side effects but most of them are unlikely or it wouldn’t have gotten FDA approval.

Check the mg of Letrozole because the doctor may be able to reduce the dosage and they may help tremendously. Love and hugs!

KathyM2, I have been taking letrozole for 8 weeks. I take it before bed as suggested by others in this group. Initially I experienced some insomnia
My friend an herbalist and a Bc survivor suggested OAT STRAW tea as a remedy. I drink it in the evenings and it has helped with the insomnia but its also good for bone health.
Oat straw tea, derived from the green stem of the Avena sativa plant, is a nutrient-dense, earthy herbal tea known for nourishing the nervous system, reducing stress and anxiety, and improving sleep. Rich in calcium and silica, it supports bone and skin health, while its antioxidant properties may enhance heart health and cognitive function.
I checked with my doctor and there are no contraindications with
Oat Straw and Letrozole.
I also started getting acne but it was NOT from the letrozole but from too much B12.
Letrozole does increase cholesterol levels so its important to monitor.
All the best to you in your treatment plan. Hugs.
