I’m so sorry, Angel. This is really disgusting. It’s actually called “flat denial” in our bc circles. I’ve heard of this over and over. It’s all about the money. The only thing you can do is go interview more surgeons. That’s what I did and only the third one accepted to do what I wanted. Don’t give up. You have all the right to get this fixed. Advocate for yourself and just talk to more surgeon. Wishing you that you find one soon!
amen to everything that everybody has shared with you… I’ve had a terrible time with my reconstruction, I’ve done most self Referral only because I’ve had the insurance to do so, Plastic surgeons/cancer surgeon finally has straightened me out pretty well… My journey has been difficult for many reasons, a reoccurrence, radiation, bad tissue, expander experience… I’m sure many here on this forum. I’ve had much of the same experiences, reconstruction is not an easy road, and the people I know personally have not found it to be a easy road either… Stay after it don’t take no for an answer, if you lived in my area, I would definitely give you some names! Hang in there no part of this cancer journey even reconstruction is easy. Blessings to you.

Not the surgeon's body! Contact your insurance company to find out which plastic surgeons are in your network. Then do your research! Ask your PCP- mine was the one who recommended my surgeon. Good luck!
