Yes, i breastfed both of my children. My first child was born when i was 20, and i breastfed her for 2 years. My second was born when i was 22 and i breastfed him for 2 years as well. I was diagnosed with breast cancer 3 years ago at 67 years old with stage 1B TNBC. no lymph node involvement.
I thought breast feeding was a protection... guess not.

Good Morning ladies 💗Looks like we have 29 that nursed, 3 that didn't nurse and 4 with no children. Not sure what this tells us? l do remember my mom telling me not to nurse but cant remember why! both my sisters took her advice and no cancer. My mom was against breastfeeding. My oldest daughter nursed the first 2 but not the last due to problems after taking the covid vaccine. My youngest daughter is still nursing her little one. Have a wonderful day :)

I breastfed for 4 months. TNBC at age 56, caught early and cancer free.

I did read that pregnancy and breast feeding give a lull in the estrogen levels.

One also has to consider how many years one’s body produces estrogen from first menstruation to menopause.

Some women both start early and end late which could be a factor.

Well actually DCIS is Stage O, NOT Stage 1. Ductal Carcinoma INSITU...Key word InSitu meaning Non invasive. I know 23 years ago when I had DCIS I was confused about it being called stage zero, but it is, which is a wonderful thing. Fast forward 23 years and I have stage 1 ILC for Invasive Lobular Cancer
