I had similar symptoms. I have osteoarthritis of the lower back. The Letrozole made my back pain unbearable. I had a hard time getting to the washroom first thing in the morning (very painful back). I also had achy joints and was hot and sweaty.
My Oncologist has switched me to Exemestane. The joint pains and back pains have reduced, but are still there. I started Exemestane for 12 days.
I am going to a Physiotherapist to strengthen my back and pelvic floor.

I had a mammogram (for the detection of cancer), CT (The CT scan machine is an imaging device that uses a motorized X-ray to take three-dimensional (3D) digital images). and MRI (An MRI machine is big enough to fit around your entire body. It creates 3D images. They appear as slices, called cross-sections, and allow doctors to visualize each layer of tissue) scan. The CT and MRI were used to produce a more detailed image of the cancer, such as its location and size, used for my surgery.

@A MyBCTeam Member. I know those maintenance drugs can really suck. I couldn't even take tamoxifen. But that's such good news that they can figure out not only recurrence risk but have a treatment to reduce that risk. 2/10ths of a percent is so awesome!! How incredibly encouraging. So far just mammograms. I’ll see the Dr next month and I’ll discuss testing with him then. He sent a sample of my biopsy tissue in for a “newer” test similar to the Onco test. Results were another 5 years would lower my changes of recurrence to .2%. It’s tempting to stop because of the side effects but such as low chance of the cancer coming back sounds good too. 🫶

I just moved it to bedtime and it seems better.
