I recently traveled out state for a week. My first trip away in 18 months. I was a bit frazzled with adjusting to travel and time zones etc and missed taking Letrozole at night. I took it the next morning and have been taking it at that time since.

I also suffer from insomnia. I have tried taking Letrozole at different hours . Take it at night makes my insomnia worse. I tried not to take Letrozole with my other meds, I found that noon time works best for me.
Good luck!
Sending hugs and prayers
Hi! I take Anastrozole, for 14 months now. Initially I was taking it at night. I had hot flashes many times a day. My medical oncologist suggested taking it in the morning. I had fewer hot flashes when I switched. Now, more than a year later, I have 2 or 3 a day only - progress!
First of all, congrats on the trip — 18 months is a long time, and you deserved that getaway! It's completely understandable to get a little frazzled with travel and time zones.
You're definitely not alone in switching to morning doses. Several MyBCTeam members have made the same switch, especially to help with sleep. One Show Full Answer
I've had insomnia as far back as I can remember, which is when I was about 6 years old. I asked my doctor when it would be best for me to take Letrozole. She said to take it in the morning. It still effects my sleep. I go to bed 2-3 hours later than I used to and I'm getting 1-2 hours less sleep each night since starting the Letrozole. When I miss a dose if it's only a couple of hours late I will take the pill. If too many hours have passed then I skip the pill for that day and start taking it again the next morning at the normal time I take all of my morning meds.
Hello. I’ve been on letrozole for more than five years. I take it every night at 6 p.m. I have a lot of side effects but since I am high risk I have to stay on it
