@A MyBCTeam Member: no - you don't take both. They are both hormone blockers and essentially accomplish the same thing, but in different ways. Tamoxifen is more commonly prescribed to the pre-menopausal whereas exemestane (or other AI's) are prescribed to the post-menopausal.
Oh thanks for your note. I read that exemestane is usually taken with tamoxifen. Is that correct? I’ve only been prescribed exemestane.
I've been on it 5 years - no issues for me!
