Congratulations on completing your radiation therapy! A typical radiation therapy session usually takes between 30-45 minutes total. During this time, you'll be positioned carefully on a table, and the actual radiation delivery only takes a few minutes to specific targeted areas. You may receive treatment in two to five different sites during each session. It's wonderful that you've experienced minimal side effects. Everyone responds differently to treatment - while fatigue is common, not everyone experiences the same symptoms or severity. Your healthcare team will typically monitor you during treatment to ensure everything goes smoothly. If you do notice any new symptoms after completing treatment, be sure to let your care team know.
