Recently diagnosed with stage 1 metaplastic carcinoma (5 mm), triple negative. I'm waiting on my node biopsy this week to see which treatment is best. Hugs to you.

TNBC 2018, stage 1b, 1 cm, grade 3. I did chemo, surgery and radiation. I didn’t like any of it, but I am glad I did treatment. I am over 6 years out of treatment with no evidence of cancer.

Thank you for the hugs YvetteMoore. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. It can all be so overwhelming, the diagnosis, the waiting and so forth. The chemo and radiation leaves me with so many questions but it’s one step at a time. My tumor had been growing for a long time and when I found it I just knew but I didn’t get it checked when I should have. I waited until I started feeling a different kind of fatigue. I brought this to the attention of my gynecologist in which I was seeing for severe abdominal and pelvic pain. I mentioned the fatigue as it was more concerning than the pain and as I was leaving the room I turned around and looked at her and said oh by the way I have this very hard, rather large lump in my breast that doesn’t move and I almost forgot to mention it. She checked it right away and sent me for an ultrasound. I had found it 6 months prior. I’ve learned so much since then and how important it is to get checked. I did have several markers and kept up with my mammogram schedule. Still. BIG hugs!!
