They gave me Claritin as part of my protocol.

I was told to take it throughout chemo...helps with bone health.

If you are getting Neupogen (pegfilgrasim, xarxio, Neulasta) to bring up your white blood cell counts, Claritin is recommended daily the day after chemo and 6 additional days. Your bone marrow working hard can cause bone pain in some people. The anti histamine in Claritin can help release histamines causing pain. I fortunately had no bone pain.

My oncologist still has me take it daily for joint pain and I finished chemo 12/31/24, I thought it was the monthly zoladex causing the bone/joint pain but idk.
I will say, if I skip a dose or 2 my joints feel it so it must be working somewhat.
