Members responded to someone experiencing severe joint pain from Anastrozole with an overwhelming consensus that daily Claritin (or generic loratadine) can significantly reduce joint discomfort, with many adding tart cherry gummies, collagen supplements, or topical treatments like copaiba essential oil, capsaicin cream, or arnica gel for additional relief. Several members shared that joint pain can fluctuate over time and that staying active with walking or weightlifting helps, though some noted the pain can become so severe it's difficult to imagine enduring it for the full five-year treatment. A recurring theme was reluctance to switch medications since Letrozole and Anastrozole often cause similar side effects, with members emphasizing the importance of finding a personalized combination of supplements and over-the-counter remedies while always consulting with a doctor first.

All of you should try Loratadine, which is generic Claritin and about $10 earlier last year for 200+ tablets.

1(Glucosamine Chrondroitrin helps some.
2) Hyaluronic Acid plant collagen
3) Life Extension ArthroMax with Collagen 2 with Apres flex

Clear everything with your Dr. first.

4)Try capsaicin crème or 5) Vicks Vapo rub on arthritis joints.

I take a Claratin tablet and eat two tart cherry gummies daily. It has really helped with bone and joint pain for me.

Sometimes Claritin helps but you need to take it every day.

I also have severe pain and stiffness in joints but I take Letrazole. Mine happens to be in my hands and fingers and is like an arthritis type pain. In The mornings I can't even bend my fingers at all until I run them under some warm water and then start moving them. Epsom salt soaks to help a little bit and so does ibuprofen if you can take medication like that. I mentioned it to my doctor because I have fibromyalgia as well and it does make the joint/muscle pain from fibro worse. The doctor said she could put me on anastrazole as that usually has a little bit less side effect like that, but talking to people who are on it I feel that they have just as much pain as I do on the letrozole so there's really no reason to change it. My recommendation is to rust when you can. If you can use a homeopathic type rub, there's something called arnicare... it's made from arnica which is a plant. There's no smell, it almost works immediately. It's temporary but it does take away some of the pain at least in the moment when you're having the biggest flare of it. But you might want to ask your doctor before you use it, just to make sure that it's okay with the medication you take. Heating pads help too. I'm sure you've already tried that. Gentle hugs to you as I know this is an ongoing journey that you have to live with.
