I take care of my husband who is disabled.
Blessings to each of you as caregivers. My husband is my caregiver and I thank God every day for him. It is hard for be as I have always been independent do days I just want to take care of myself. I fell on my lady day of chemo, 8 weeks ago. I have 6 compression fractures & bilateral rib fractures. Radiation was completed 2 weeks ago. So my body is just done. Enough about me. I just wanted to say how impressed I am with each of you!
Ladies you are all Superheroes in my book. We caregivers have to remember that we have to take care of ourselves as well. Sometimes I feel selfish leaving my husband at home when I go to larger city to get my hair and nails done. I have to remind myself that I need to have time for me and that if I take care of me I will be better able to take care of him. Being in therapy also helps me to not lose myself while taking care of him.
I adopted my granddaughter, I’ve had her since 9 days old. It’s difficult but I wouldn’t change a thing. She’s my world! ♥️
I was a caregiver to my mother and a classmates mother.
I agree! I try most days other than driving and picking up my granddaughter from the school bus to at least run and errand.
