Hi Donna. I doubt your cancer is growing that fast. It is much more likely a confusion in the radiology department. There are different radiologists reading each report and they can be inconsistent. I would call the office to clarify. I would certainly do it before the weekend so that you don't have to worry. Tell them specifically about the inconsistency so that they don't just look at one report. I would do it today if you can in case they have to send it back to radiology.

That's good Donna. It will be interesting to see what they say about lymph node involvement but post op at least I believe with clear margins you did not have any lymph involvement. At least I think that is accurate.

I think tumors sometimes do go through various staging. What is originally seen on a mammogram can change once its biopsied and then staging can change again once tissue is sent for pathology. Its not surprising this happens. My cancer had already metastasized before biopsy and surgery, but it wasn't known because all imaging I had done were of the Breast. , mammogram, Breast ultrasound, chest CT, Breast MRI where none of those were going to pick up a lesion on my hip.

Hi Donna, it all does sound confusing. When mine was first diagnosed after mammogram, I was considered stage 1, after biopsy & LUMPECTOMY last July this is how it was written : Anatomic stage IIA
Prognostic stage IB but then 2 weeks later it was found to be stage 4 .
