My chronic pain was the worst on Exemestane. There is quality of life and your experience sounds so close to how badly it affected me as well.
Common side effects of exemestane (Aromasin) include:

I totally understand. I won't let myself get to that point. I will end my relationship with Anastrozole way before all I can do is sit. I was on Anastrozole for 7 months, off 1 month, back on it almost 2 months. I will deal with the aches and pains in my legs muscles and joints but if it the pain starts spreading out to the rest of my body rendering me unable to do anything then I am done. I have stage 4 cancer, I am going to die from this eventually and I won't be crippled up in pain during that process.
I’m almost 3 months on Letrozole. I was having side effects until my radiation burns took over
I have been on it 2 weeks and pretty much just some nausea.
