My HR+Her2- cancer didn't show up on mammograms, ultrasounds or even an MRI. I had a lump on top of my left breast. Even an MRI -guided biopsy came back benign. But the doctors all agreed the lump should be removed. When my surgeon removed the lump, it came back cancerous and no clear margins. I had to have a 2nd surgery to get clear margins. We didn't have a pathologist who could look at the tissue during the surgery. Had to wait 2 days after surgery to get the results. If we could get immediate results to know if it is cancerous, I would do it. But I don't want to have more surgery unless absolutely necessary.

I would ask about PET. I have one every three months that my insurance actually pays for. It is the way they track my cancer. Recently found nodules in my lungs and are going to follow up with CT. I would ask. It certainly can't hurt.

Oh my heart goes out to you 🩷I hope everything works out. I think I would say just take them both. Biopsy them.
