Also write down the information the doctor is giving you. I was overwhelmed with so many things that if I had not had my husband there I would have forgotten everything. Lucky for me my medical oncologist was kind and understanding. By the time I went to him I had already had the MRI, and core needle biopsy. He told me to see the breast surgeon and I would be seeing him after the surgery when all my biopsy results came back,m( from the tumor and sentinel lymph nodes). When I went back to him he told me that I was now ready to see the radiation oncologist. So once I was done with radiation I started seeing him because he’s in charge of my treatment and medication and he does specific blood work.
Tons of doctors’ appointments , I saw all three doctors every three months. I’m finished seeing the surgeon now, it’s been one year since the surgery, And hopefully I will only be seeing the two oncologists every six months 🤞
