Diagnosed 2019 with invasive ductal carcinoma. Grade 3, stage 2. Not found anywhere other than 1 tumor in breast. Did 6 rounds of chemo and now on anastrozole due to being considered in menopause after chemo. Did a bilateral mastectomy due to a gene mutation.

@A MyBCTeam Member Good morning! I just woke up and saw your post. I usually get a print-out of my bloodwork before I leave my oncologist office which covers half of my results , then I can retrieve the other half in a day or two on the portal, including my CA15.3 etc... Don't worry! I feel like your numbers are within normal limits unless you are having other issues going on. Put it in God's hands and trust you doctor and medical team. @A MyBCTeam Member Can you access your results of bloodwork on a portal? It should show what is low or high, WBC's, neutrophil #, RBC's,etc. It should also show you the numerical normal range in which your numbers should fall, including your CA15.3 results. I'm not sure if the 0.00- 35.0 is the standard range at all treatment centers. Would be interesting to find out.🙂👍
@A MyBCTeam Member Intersting, They said above 25 was elevated. Thank you so much for your response. The waiting for retest is the worst. I’ve thought of every ache and pain I’ve had since hearing that. Prayer are much appreciated!!!
@A MyBCTeam Member Hi!👋 I My oncologist does a CA15.3 tumor marker on me every couple of months. Normal range is 0.00-35.0. If your numbers start to go up above 35.0, it is indicating that there are some changes going on that might warrant checking. Your doctor will know what to look for. It doesn't always mean something bad, just think of it as a special alert system. My CA15.3 was 448 at the time of my diagnosis 2yrs ago, now it stays below 31. When letrozole stopped working, my tumor marker started going up quickly. My oncologist immediately put me on Faslodex shots, my tumor marker went back to normal. You are in my prayers. 🙂👍🙏🏻
