@A MyBCTeam Member Hi there! My diagnosis is very similar to yours. I did the Onco test based on my Oncologist’s recommendation. He said the results will determine if I need to be treated with Chemotherapy. Fortunately, it turns out my Onco score was way way low only 4. He said that was the lowest score he has ever seen with his many years of experience treating breast cancer patients. In looking back I’m glad I did that test. I had lumpectomy then 5 days (twice a day) brachytherapy and now taking Anastrozole starting my 4th year. Have to take it for 5 years so it’s something to look forward to as I’m not too crazy about the side effects (joint pain, fatigue, insomnia and skin rash occasionally). It is better now but insomnia still comes and go. It’s nice to meet you, have a great day! 💕
I don't even know what the test is but If it the results determine if you are a good candidate for chemo I guess that is why I never had it because I told my surgeon at our first meeting that I would never have chemotherapy
wish I hd known this at the time - I had no testing - the DR told me that what I had only recurs 1. % of the time....well, looking back even if it was a one in a a million chance I would have done more. there was no testing of any kind after my treatments....so - here I am!
