I’m dealing with symptoms of thoracic outlet syndrome since having my mastectomy. Is this something seen among women who have had mastectomies?
@A MyBCTeam Member My arm on the side of my mastectomy & radiation was going numb and tingling. After many tests and scans and referrals to surgeons… it seems that the trauma to the area combined with radiation caused muscle and tissue changes that are compressing my brachial plexus nerve.
Could you explain me briefly what are the sign and symptoms?
Hopefully a dr or PT will have more up to date stuff. Complications leading to TOC or any other disease or syndrome just seem completely unfair. Hope you get the help needed soon.
Thank you. I haven’t been able to find much info. about breast cancer/radiation/mastectomy and TOC. I’m in the middle of many tests and visits to determine the best way to treat it.
I just looked up a little on TOS. There has been cases reported. Apparently maybe not enough research yet? Feb 16, 2022 there was a case study:
