One day at a time. Make your list of questions for the dr and take someone with you to wrote down answers bc it is really hard to process when youre scared and upset. Hopefully youll be able to enjoy your Christmas and New Years before facing this. I did four rounds of chemo to shrink my tumor before surgery. Enjoy the heck out of family and friends. Have you met your surgeon? Mine only does breast surgery, she had the pathology report from my needle biopsy, and first she went over everything in the pathology report, then telling me what my surgical options were. She did not pressure me, but left me alone to discuss with my husband, then came back to see if we had any more questions. She said I could take whatever time I needed to make a decision (lumpectomy or mastectomy); if I wanted a second opinion, or to meet with a plastic surgeon, etc. she could provide additional contact info. I felt comfortable with her (she had been recommended by my PCP) and with my decision- so I took the first available surgery date. So, my journey from showing my PCP the lump, mammo, ultrasound, biopsy, surgery- all done in about 3 weeks. It has now been 4 years from the surgery date, I am still well, with no regrets. Keeping you in prayers as you navigate all the information headed your way, and make the decisions that are right for you! Hugs!

Sharon, Praying for you. I agree with everyone's comments. Please don't be afraid to ask your doctors questions. You need to know what you will be facing. Then, you can face it one step at a time. I remember being shocked at first too. We are all here for you. Please let us know how you are doing. ☺😇

Thank you all for the awesome advice. I think I need to put my faith to work. I believe God will get me where I need to be. I trust my Dr. completely. She is awesome. I think I've sworn off the internet. I feel I'm in a good place decision wise. Just not handling the waiting well. I'm one to acknowledge a problem, face it, and deal with it asap.

Handle it one step at a time. I went through the same thing. I think i was in shock for quite awhile before i realized what was happening to me. Trust your doctors. Some times research can make things worse . You start to give your self anxiety because what you read can be scary. But that dont have to be your outcome.. good luck
