I understand all the fears you have gone thru … yeah my reconstruction doesnt look normal and i was a little shocked on how big of implants he went with being 950cc … o my goodness , i was told that he could reconstruct nipples or tattoo on but i really didnt want to i have japanese tattoos already so i wanted japanese art work covering like a bra … im with you 100% I too thought o im going to get a boob job but nope , they feel really un natural … disclaimer ( again this is only my opinion) so i hope i dont discourge anyone from it because even with all the imperfections and issues I wouldnt change a thing

I'm so glad everything worked I hope. When I saw my breast after mastectomy I said to the Dr I thought you were taking my nipple? They did it was just a huge scab and the incision from where the nipple was down to the bottom of my breast over the next week or so seem like it spread like it was an inch wide but there was no bleeding. So finally when I went in there again cuz I was having problems he thought it might be infected so he decided to go back in, clean it out and then he stitched it back up with thicker stitches which I am so grateful for because it looks 100% better. Just like I'm sure many other women, I was under the impression that when you did this it was going to look prettier than what it was going to. I guess I thought maybe like a regular boob job, but I heard it doesn't. Typically. I just hope that he remembers or I will remind him to use whatever stitches he used when he does my reconstruction because it went from looking terrible and very scarred to just one little line right now.

As far as the nurse goes, the fact that the doctor told her to step out, shows he was aware she was having an unprofessional moment. I am sure he addressed it out of earshot. Hopefully, a learning moment for her.

Hi April. I’m glad that you went to the hospital to get taken care of. I keep having setbacks to. My incision got infected after the lumpectomy wound card for months landed me in the hospital for a week. Chemo postponed till next week due to a family member was exposed to Covid. Now I had the port put in on Tuesday. So much shoulder and neck and arm pain. Can’t get a break 😢
