If you still have some sensation, how bad will nipple tattoos hurt? Any chance of adding additional risks with tattooing?
When I had my tattoos she numbed everything even though I have no sensation. So ask about that. Did touch-up with out the numbing since takes longer for her to do that step.
@A MyBCTeam Member, yes I actually have oddly regained some (dulled) sensation. At first, I had ZERO. And that was what I had prepared myself for. And my nipples suffered some damage. But (possibly TMI) I can feel a pinch if I were to pinch them/they are pinched. I was quite surprised to realize that post reconstruction, and many months later, there is some feeling and I can even register pain sometimes.
Good question. I had a Double Mastectomy but kept the nipples and surrounding skin for reconstructive DIEP surgery. I have no feeling in them since last August. Do you have any feeling? I am hoping after reconstructive, it will return.
