I had a a lumpectomy on Feb. 13 along with reduction to both of my large breast to create symetry. I am feeling very light these days and no longer have any back pain, but I go back to my PC on Thursday. I still have places on the incisions that are soar and still use ice packs some. I don't know about the stinging and burning feelings but the shooting pain is normal. I still get sore sometimes and it has been over a year. Feeling in the nipple is only starting to come back now. It takes a long time for the nerves to regrow.
I had shooting pains after mine, I was told there was a lot of damage done to nerves in there and that it is normal. Good to have the follow up in a couple days though...should be able to put your mind at ease.
I to had lumpectomy and reduction last October. I still have some pain in r breast where surgery was. Still no feeling in one nipple. What I do is use vitamin E oil on incisions and massage them firmly,this helps to break up scar tissue and incourages blood flow to the breast. I do this each night prior to sleeping.
I also massage my incision area and it helps.
I was told to expect some nerve damage that can be quite painful. That could be I’m guessing
