what is an alternative to estrogen cream to help with vaginal issues?

My GYN said that recent spotting concerns is due to low estrogen. Because my cancer was estrogen positive, I should not use estrogen cream. He recommended a product that is used for yeast infections, but I wonder if it will help or if there is something else to use.

My gynecologist recommended an OTC called rephresh.
