Hi all
I think the Arimidex Ive been taking for about 10 months now is causing me some mood changes and depression. All along I've been having joint pain and extreme hot flashes, but I think the depression is relatively new. Anyone else experience this and if so, did you try a different estrogen blocker or an antidepressant? Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

Dee,

This is a " less" common side effect of aromatase inhibitors. However, it is very real, especially to those who suffer from it. I have never spoken to my doctors but I noticed that yoga, deep breathing and basically any exercise which de-stresses the body are helpful.

Depression is one of the side effects of Arimidex, You should talk to your ONC he may change your meds if needed or he may give you something for depression. Hugs and prayers for you.
