Has anyone had reoccurring Low Hemoglobin? I have to have transfusions every 3-4 months. I finished radiation over 2 yeas ago.
My oncologist states "I must be bleeding from somewhere". I have been scanned, X-rayed, colonoscopy, endoscopy, uterine biopsy, everything is normal. I was told don't worry about it. I want a 2nd opinion, but there's only one group in my area.

mine were low for several years after treatment. was told this is not unusual.
My oncologists said that my count issues may be due to marrow damage from chemo, radiation and mets. I would try as much as you can take to find a second opinion even in the same group I might be helpful. The opinion may be the same or completely different its worth trying.
I sympathize with trying to deal with medical costs. hope you get answers soon.my radiation was two years ago. hemoglobin slightly low but told nothing to worry about
