It I'd true they are taken to help the possibility if reoccurnce. I was put on tamoxifan after I was done wuth my treatments I had horrible side effects and talked with my doctors and my choice was to stop it and I had stage 3 bc dbl mastectomy and it was in 2 of my lymph nodes that was 21 years ago. It has to be your choice and you need to discuss it with your doctor. Good luck

Because on microcellar level they can't say you have cancer and there. Not enough research on to reduce reoccurrence rate even though they tell you there's no evidence of cancer on a mic or cellular level they can't prove there's no cancer there

For information's sake, our adrenals and fat cells produce estrogen also.
'Cancer coming back' is a misnomer- more directly, it means that though no evidence was detected previously, cells remained and have had time to flourish to a detectable size. It takes millions of cells to be detectable by imaging.
Do what feels best; quality of life is an important factor.

I would not go on Tamoxifican, when I could get uterine cancer, blood clots, I went thru too many with the other 2 I was on. Some women have no problems < I DID, too many to have a life, I had a low stage one.
My surgeon did not believe in mastectomies.
