Get this checked out and don't back down until you get it fully checked. This happened to me and my GP thought it was trapped nerve coming from my neck. Several CT and MRI scans later they found a tumour under my arm pressing on a nerve!

@A MyBCTeam Member did you find out about your arm? Same thing happened to me (opp.side from nodes, on tamoxifen for a couple mos, chalked it up to expander pulling the muscles). Since PT and implant exchange it's better.

Paula, thanks for this post...........I am dealing with this in my right arm now and have seen a Dr. for osteopathic massage, tried using an arm splint, had an EMG, had ex rays of shoulder, ribs and arm, and saw an orthopedic specialist Thursday who gave me an injection. Wondered if the chemo may have caused damage ( I developed neuropathy in feet and hands from chemo) or maybe the chemo didn't take care of all the cancer since my oncologist had to stop my treatment 5 treatments short. The petscan showed I still had dirty nodes after surgery. I am going to mention what you posted to my Dr.s

It was recurrence of breast cancer but also found spots on my liver and spine. Please insist ion getting this checked fully now, it took almost 12 months of me constantly going back the my GP before they found it and I don't want anyone else to have to go through this! I hope and pray everything will be ok for you xx

@A MyBCTeam Member if you have had lymph nodes removed even just one in the arm that is now giving you issues it is possible that your onset of nerve pain and numbness could possibly be the beginning symptoms of lymphedema . Lymphedema is not always this huge increase in size of arm or some dramatic change, it can simply start out as something almost not noticeable . It might benefit you if anything just to at least get this possibility ruled out. If indeed you do have this then the sooner it gets treated the better managed it is. Best of luck
