There is a new implant out called "gummy bears" which contains silicone gel and gives a natural look.

I haven't had my exchange surgery yet, but I will be going with silicone. I have been told they are more natural feeling and there is no rippling like a lot of saline implants have. Also, my surgeon said he would 100% suggest silicone over saline and I trust him implicitly.

when I asked my PS what he recommend he said most surgeons recommend the silicone.

My plastic surgeon is a microplastic surgeon in a very progressive practice, specializing in breast cancer patients and he would not use saline. He said they ripple and dont look or feel natural. Todays silicone is cohesive and will not break apart, as implants from many years ago could potentially do.

My surgery is this week, so I will have a while, but I am going with the "gummy bear" silicone. The look of them, and really the feel, was more natural. I like that they don't ooze, so if there is a rupture somehow, the risk is somewhat minimized. The saline just seem to look more fake by the images my surgeon showed me. We shall see what happens over the next few months with them.
