I have been taking Arimidex for 4 years and 2 months. At first I experienced some milder but irritating symptoms like thinning hair, return of hot flashes etc. but am now really suffering from other symptoms. I've been on it for nearly 4 years- a little joint pain but nothing a few aleve can't help. My oncologist has really insisted I stay on it but I really have had very few problems other than fluid retention.

I am on day five of the Arimidex. Very worried about all the side effects. So far I feel fine, but have a history of lower back aches with hormone medicines and birth control pills. Also have osteoporous already and hip aches....will see how I do on this medicine.
