How tight should the wrappings be?
I don't remember it being this tight. Only had one mastectomy and not so tight
Yes same doctor for both.

It sounds like you're noticing a difference in how tight the wrapping feels after this mastectomy compared to your previous one. That's worth paying attention to!

After a single mastectomy, wrapping or compression should feel snug but not painful or overly restrictive. Some tightness is normal to help reduce fluid buildup and support healing, but it shouldn't feel uncomfortable or cause significant pain. Since you have the same doctor for both procedures, it's a great idea to reach out to them directly and mention that this feels tighter than before. Every surgery and recovery can be a little different, and your care team can quickly check whether the wrapping needs adjusting.

Don't hesitate to contact them sooner rather than later, especially if you notice any of the following:

- Increasing pain or discomfort
- Skin discoloration or warmth
- Swelling that seems to be getting worse
- Any drainage from the surgical area

Your comfort matters, and speaking up about it is always the right call! 💛

Mine was snug but not uncomfortably tight. I kept it on for about 48 hours before I changed over to a post surgery shirt with drain holders. I wasn't able to wear a bra of any kind for a while, it bothered me with the tubes too bad.
But if the wrap is too tight that it's causing discomfort I would loosen it just a tad. If your concerned maybe give your surgical team a call tomorrow, most surgical offices have after hours where you can speak with the Dr on call. I hope you're able to get some rest tonight, I will be keeping you in my prayers for a speedy recovery.❤️
