I am a one year plus survivor who’s been on Kisquali 2 months after a 5 month break. I had very minimal side effects the first time taking it (5 months). The second round recently, I vomitted several times the first day, and now I just feel early stage pregnant. At 75, that isn’t happening!😂
I was on verzenio for 2 yrs and went through diarrhea constantly vomiting being nauseous. What i needed to do was take immodium 2 times a day due to that I had to take 100 mg twice a day. It helped but sometimes it just didn't work. Definitely speak with your oncologist to see about when you can take your meds at a different time of day.
The AI response you received has a lot of good info. I always need to eat a little something when I take my various meds 3 times a day or I will get nauseous. Sometimes I get nauseous when my stomach is too empty because I haven't eaten for too long and then it helps to eat some saltines or a piece of bread before I try to eat some real food. When I have chemo or radiation I have to take Ondansetron 3 times a day otherwise I will be vomiting. Have you tried taking a nausea medication? If not then ask your doctor for a prescription for Ondansetron.
Regarding the constipation, try to avoid foods that can be binding. For me beef, rice, and bananas will back me up. If adjusting your diet doesn't do the trick then ask your doctor if it's ok to take Colace or another stool softener.
Is your dose of Kisquali higher now than it was the first time you were taking it? If yes then that could be the culprit with your new side effects. I'm on Ibrance for my CDK inhibitor and I take the smallest dose possible. They normally give people one of the larger doses to start with the CDK inhibitors, but I asked for the smallest one cuz I have tons of medication allergies. Even though I started with the smallest dose my liver function blood tests were through the roof so my doctor reduced the frequency from 3 weeks on and 1 week off to 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off and my liver is much happier now.
Good luck, I hope you find some solutions soon and start feeling better ❤️
