I have already lost my taste buds a few times mid-meals! And I am eating way smaller portions. Thanks for your reply!
I lost weight- but it was more about making healthier choices- and then as chemo progressed, things tasted Yuck anyway- lol! Keeping you in prayers! Hugs!
A lot if people gain weight during chemo because of steroids.
Ask for a referral to an oncology dietician. Try to eat as healthy as you can, but sometimes you just to eat what you can tolerate. I wanted watermelon, Caesar salad, baked potatoes and macaroni salad from the deli. Stay hydrated.
Wishing you well!
For me I gained weight both times I had chemo courtesy of the steroids I was taking and the edema they caused.
