This helps limit damage to healthy tissue compared to traditional chemo. As with any treatment, there are side effects to be aware of. It's important to talk openly with your oncology team about what to expect. Some things that can help during infusions include:
- Staying well hydrated before, during, and after your infusion
- Eating something substantial before your appointment
- Packing a comfort bag with blankets, snacks, music, or a good book
- Asking for warm blankets if you get cold during the infusion
